Freedom Valley School is pleased to organize a “Waste Out of the Best” Competition for the students of Classes IX & XI on the auspicious occasion of the Ganesh Festival.
Date: Saturday, 19th September 2026
Time: During the CCA Period
Venue: Respective Classroom
The competition aims to encourage students to transform waste and discarded materials into a creative, attractive, and eco-friendly Ganapati. This activity will promote creativity, innovation, environmental awareness, sustainable thinking, and respect for our cultural traditions.
Theme: “Ganapati”
Guidelines
• Students of Classes IX & XI may participate in the competition.
• Kindly register your child's name with the Class Teacher by 16th September 2026.
• Students have to create a Ganapati idol using waste, recycled, reusable, and eco-friendly materials.
• The Ganapati creation should be environment-friendly, biodegradable as far as possible, and safe for nature.
• Students are encouraged to creatively reuse materials such as newspaper, cardboard, paper rolls, coconut shells, ice-cream sticks, waste cloth, used packaging materials, and other reusable items.
• The creation should be original, creative, attractive, and primarily made from waste or recycled materials.
• Each participant should give their creation a creative and meaningful name.
• Students should prepare a small display card mentioning:
• Name of the Creation
• Waste Materials Used
• How the Materials Were Reused
• Eco-Friendly Features
• Environmental Benefits
• Students should be able to briefly explain how their creation helps reduce waste and protect the environment.
• The use of Plaster of Paris, thermocol, plastic glitter, toxic colours, or other harmful/non-eco-friendly materials is strictly not permitted.
• Students are encouraged to use natural colours and eco-friendly decorative materials.
• Students should bring all the required waste materials, tools, and other necessary items from home.
• Students must maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline throughout the activity.
• The competition will be conducted during the CCA Period.
