Dear Parents,
Freedom Valley School is pleased to organize a Group Bhajan Competition for the students of Classes VII & VIII on the auspicious occasion of the Ganesh Festival.
Date: Saturday, 19th September 2026
Time: During the CCA Period
Venue: Swami Vivekanand Auditorium
The competition aims to encourage students to develop a sense of devotion, musical expression, teamwork, confidence, and appreciation of Indian culture and traditions. Through this activity, students will get an opportunity to present devotional music in a harmonious and creative manner.
Theme: Devotional Bhajans – Ganesh Festival
Guidelines
• Students of Classes VII & VIII may participate in the competition as a group.
• Register the names of all group members with the Class Teacher by 16th September 2026.
• Each group should present one devotional bhajan based on the theme of devotion, spirituality, Lord Ganesha.
• The bhajan should be appropriate for a school environment and presented with dignity and devotion.
• The performance should be of approximately 5–7 minutes.
• Students may use musical instruments such as tabla, harmonium, manjira, flute, keyboard, or other suitable instruments, subject to prior approval.
• Students are encouraged to give their performance an attractive and meaningful presentation through suitable costumes, coordinated participation, and simple traditional elements.
• The use of pre-recorded vocals will not be permitted. Students should perform the bhajan themselves.
• Students should maintain discipline, coordination, proper pronunciation, rhythm, and respect for the devotional nature of the performance.
• Groups should be ready with their performance before the CCA Period begins.

We encourage all our young learners to participate enthusiastically and celebrate the Ganesh Festival through the beautiful expression of devotion, music, teamwork, and Indian cultural heritage.
