Freedom Valley School is delighted to organize a Prasadi Making Competition for the students of Classes V & VI on the auspicious occasion of the Ganesh Festival.
Date: Saturday, 19th September 2026
Time: During the CCA Period
Venue: Respective Classrooms
The competition is designed to provide students with an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the Ganesh Festival while exploring our rich Indian traditions and culture. It will encourage students to showcase their creativity, culinary skills, presentation, and awareness of healthy food choices, along with the values of devotion, cleanliness, sharing, and togetherness.
Guidelines
• Students of Classes V & VI are invited to participate enthusiastically in the competition.
• Kindly register your child's name with the Class Teacher by 16th September 2026.
• Students may prepare a traditional vegetarian Prasadi using simple, easily available, and wholesome ingredients.
• Some suggested Prasadi items include Modak, Coconut Ladoo, Til Ladoo, Suji Halwa, Panchamrit, Churma, Makhana Prasad, Fruit Prasad, and Dry Fruit Prasad.
• Each participant must give a creative and appropriate name to their Prasadi dish.
• Students should prepare a small display card/label mentioning:
• Name of the Prasadi Dish
• Main Ingredients Used
• Health Benefits / Nutritional Value of the ingredients used
• Students should be able to briefly explain what nutrients or health benefits we can get from the ingredients used in their Prasadi. For example, ingredients may provide nutrients such as protein, fibre, calcium, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals, depending on the ingredients chosen.
• The presentation of the Prasadi should be neat, attractive, creative, and appealing, reflecting the festive spirit of Ganesh Festival.
• The Prasadi should be fresh, hygienically prepared, vegetarian, and appropriate for sharing.
• Students should bring all necessary serving containers, bowls, spoons, napkins, display cards, and other required materials.
• Students are encouraged to use eco-friendly and creative decoration for presenting their Prasadi.
• Students should maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, and discipline throughout the activity.
• The competition will be conducted during the CCA Period.
