Greetings from Freedom Valley School!
We are pleased to inform you that our school is organizing the CBSE Young India Culinary Championship (YICC) 2026–27 – School Level (Non-Fire Cooking Competition) for the students of Classes VI to VIII on Wednesday, 29th July 2026 during school hours.
This competition aims to encourage students to develop creativity, healthy food habits, hygiene awareness and basic culinary skills through an enjoyable learning experience.
🥗 Students may prepare any ONE of the following dishes:
• 🥗 Salad
• 🥪 Sandwich (using Whole Wheat Bread only)
• 🍞 Canapé
✅ Permitted Ingredients
Students may use only the following ingredients:
• Whole Wheat Bread
• Fresh Vegetables
• Fresh Fruits
• Dairy Products
• Savoury Mixes
📌 Important Instructions
• 🍽️ Students should prepare two portions of the same dish:
o One for Display
o One for Judging
• 🧺 Students must bring all the required ingredients, utensils, serving plates and any decorative items (if required).
• 👩🍳 Students should come in proper school uniform along with a clean apron and head cover (hair cap).
• 🧼 Cleanliness and proper hygiene should be maintained throughout the competition.
We kindly request all parents to support and encourage their child to participate enthusiastically and ensure that all the required materials are sent to school on the competition day.
Your cooperation will help make this event a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience for our students.
