Freedom Valley School is implementing NEP 2020 & NCF2023 & the three language formula. Please read the circular.
Dear all,
Jay Hindi!
To align with the New Education Policy (NEP 2020), our school is updating how languages are taught starting this academic session. The goal is to help our students become multilingual and stay connected to Indian heritage.
1. The Three-Language Formula
Every student from Class 6 onwards will now study three languages. According to the new rules, at least two of these must be native Indian languages.
At Freedom Valley School, the subjects will be categorized as follows:
- R1 (Primary Language): English (Our medium of instruction).
- R2 (Second Language): Hindi (Compulsory Indian language).
- R3 (Third Language): Sanskrit OR Gujarati (Choice of second Indian language).
2. Why is this changing?
- CBSE Requirement: Studying three languages is now a mandatory part of the National Curriculum Framework.
- Future Readiness: To successfully complete Class 10 in the coming years, students will need to pass in all three languages.
3. Action Required
For students entering Class 6, please ensure you have selected your choice for the Third Language (R3)—either Sanskrit or Gujarati. This choice will continue with the student through their middle school years to ensure they build strong communication skills in that language.
Thank you for your continued support in providing the best education for our children.
Warm regards,
Principal
Pankaj Sharma
