Dear Parents/Guardians,
Jay Hind!
At Freedom Valley School, we believe that a disciplined environment is the foundation of academic excellence. We are reinforcing our core discipline rules, which are mandatory for all students.
We request parents to ensure their children prioritise a study-centric lifestyle over temporary fashion trends. To maintain uniformity and focus, the following rules will be enforced:
1. Grooming and Appearance
- Haircut (Boys): Students must maintain a short hair (Maximum 2 inches), neat, and professional haircut. Spikes, long fringes, or "fancy" styles are strictly prohibited.
- Hairstyles (Girls): Long hair must be tied in two neat plaits (braids) with black ribbons/bands. Short hair must be kept back with a plain black headband.
- Nails: Nails must be kept short, clean, and unpolished at all times.
- Prohibitions: The use of hair colour, tattoos, jewellery, makeup, mobile, electronic gadgets & watches is not permitted on campus.
2. Vehicle and Road Safety (Strict Enforcement)
The school has observed with great concern that some underage students are arriving on motorised two-wheelers. Please take note of the following:
- Bicycles Only: Students in the vicinity are encouraged to ride bicycles to school for health and safety. Please make sure that students ride bicycles safely and are aware of traffic rules and regulations.
- Motorised Vehicles: Riding a motorcycle or scooter without a valid government license, without a helmet, or while under the legal age is a punishable criminal offence under the Motor Vehicles Act.
- Zero Tolerance: The school strictly prohibits students from bringing motorised two-wheelers to the premises. Parents who facilitate this are putting their children at legal and physical risk.
3. Parental Cooperation and Strict Action
The school exists to nurture disciplined and successful citizens. We expect parents to inspect their child’s grooming and mode of transport before they leave for school each morning.
Please be advised that the school reserves the right to take strict disciplinary action, including suspension for persistent non-compliance with these rules.
Let us work together to keep our students focused on their education and their safety.
Regards,
Principal
